With its international guests, the congress organised by the German Green Building Association (BuGG) is one of the most important industry events on the topic of greening roofs, facades and interiors.

The World Congress of Building Greening, taking place from 9 to 11 June 2026 in Berlin, is a three-day event focusing on green buildings (roof, façade and interior greening) and related topics such as urban climate, rainwater management, sustainability and the city of the future. Days 1 and 2 will feature specialist presentations and discussions. Many outstanding and well-known speakers will be taking part, including Prof. Mun Summ Wong (WOHA Architects, Singapore), Prof. Werner Sobek (Werner Sobek AG, Germany), Dr Patrick Blanc (Vertical Garden ‘Mur Végétal’, France) and Prof. Manfred Köhler (Germany). A trade exhibition will accompany the lecture programme. Numerous companies have already registered to participate. On day 3, site visits to remarkable greening projects in Berlin will showcase the excellence of the European green building industry.

The international exchange, which takes place every three years, is organised by the German Green Building Association (BuGG) with the support of international and national partners such as the European Federation of Green Roof & Wall Associations (EFB). The patron of the World Congress is Carsten Schneider, Federal Minister for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety: ‘Germany needs all forms of public and private greenery. This includes a piece of wilderness in the garden, parks and open spaces in the city, as well as green roofs and facades. They are all truly multi-talented. That is why I was happy to take on the patronage of the World Congress on Building Greenery.’

Registration can now be made via the conference website. The early bird discount is abailable until 31 January 2026.
